Every damn lie. The mainstream media fell short time and time again during the campaign. They can start to make up for it now, by holding Trump and his administration accountable for every lie, something they should have been doing in 2016. Its not like Trump has anything good to say about them, they might as well do their job.

it's the news media's job to hold power accountable, which means calling him out on every lie and countering it with the truth.

Maybe exposing the lies--calling them out for what they damned well are--might make a small difference. Enough to influence things for the better, just a little.

His lying appears to be picking up speed and frequency. His little impromptu press conference on the driveway was one lie after another. And it is so easy for him to lie. If he is confronted with a lie, he just ignores it or moves on to someone else. Or projects back on them saying THEY are the liar, the fake news.

The press is fighting for its life. They need to hit back and hit hard. I have noticed a definite increase in the number of TV journalists and print journalist that are no longer tip toeing around the subject. They are openly calling him a liar or a sick person. He will crack wide open one of these days if they keep the pressure on him and he’ll have an epic meltdown on live TV. I am waiting anxiously for that day. I wonder what his fans will think of him after he throws a sh*t fit and loses his cool in front of millions. I would pay to see that.

Nobody day to day is more condemning of Trump in straight forward effective fashion.

If he were on MSNBC using identical words and tone, Don Lemon would be a legend here. But there's a laughable reluctance to praise or even acknowledge CNN.
