So, he's not in the DC Central jail.

He's in Warsaw, VA just outside Richmond and he's listed as in the VIP section, whatever that means.

to move him to a more protected location -- given that he might have a Russian target on his back. Also, his first trial is in Virginia, not DC.

I thought they were protecting him from his cell mates in DC and I was hoping they were also Dems and really mad. I guess Putin's poison is worse than angry cell mates.

In Manafort's case, it means he can arrange for you to stay for free at one of his vacation residences if you make sure he gets champagne, cable TV and steak when he wants it, and how he likes it cooked.

So this is still a couple hours away from that court. Not super convenient for his lawyers, but it might be a safer location for him.

And we do want him to be kept safe so he can testify against DT eventually.

Why should he get it better than a 4 year old who did nothing wrong?
