I wonder if the reason Manafort won't flip is ...

he wants to stay alive.

A lot of what he knows involves Russian oligarchs and if rumors get out that he's gonna flip, Putin might try to stop him.
Taking your chances in court might be the better bet if the other options is almost certain elimination.

So his stubbornness may not be loyalty to Trump but terror of the Russians.

He flips and serves time, the Russians kill him in prison. He beats the rap and doesn’t repay his debt, the Tussians kill him on the outside. His only prayer is wit-pro, and he doesn’t sound interested.

Whatever happens to Trump will not be soon, Putin is going no where,and thanks in part to this turd America is becoming a Fascist State. Pure speculation.

and won't be convicted. He's already broken his bail conditions twice, first writing an op-ed, then contacting witnesses that just landed him in jail, without an apparent second thought. He's gotten away with so much for so long, probably thinks he'll get away with this, too.
