Now Google wants to do my communicating for me!!! This has got to stop!!

My son sent me an e-mail asking what his father's birth year was. When I clicked REPLY, I was presented with 3 buttons, "I don't know", "I'll have to look," and "Why?" He sent me the expected sort of answer and when I clicked reply this time I had a choice of: "I agree!" "So true!" "I know!"

This is so wrong in so many ways!!!! One big problem is that it encourages the continuing decline of real communication between people.

And to those of you who want to tell me it's been around for a long time, that may be, but the first time I've ever seen it is today and I e-mail dozens of times a day.

What's the best way to register my opinion so Google hears it??

This feature has been there for a while. Do you use your email once a year? I'm not sure what you are objecting to.

Google does not email a response for you, it gives you suggestions for quick replies if you want to do that. If not, just do not click, instead write your response.

It doesn't e-mail for you, but it encourages the continuing decline of real communication among people.

And it's very helpful for a lot of folks, particularly those like me that do a lot of phone replies via email with quick answers to questions. The options it presents are largely what I'd type anyway.

Remember, just because you don't like it or find it useful doesn't mean others won't as well.

9. And I disagree 100% that it furthers a decline of real conversation

It's incredibly useful for a lot of people that use email for business, scheduling, education, etc.

Short and to the point responses - especially knowing that most people don't read past the first line in a lot of emails because we get way too much email.

Compose your own answer. Some people find these suggested answers helpful for day to day contacts, especially in a business setting, and especially on a phone. But you’re not obligated to use them (I composed this response almost entirely of suggested words on my iPad)

Whenever I take a picture of my cats or something that I cooked, it always asks me if I want to share my photo of the brewery on Google.
