Trump blaming the Dems for his own immigration policy is just an old strategy.

It's the old white elitism excuse: "You made me do it."

I can't imagine when that excuse would ever be used by a member of a minority group because they know it's lame. But it seems to work around the white cultured environment. They will blame you for forcing them to do bad things to cover up their mistakes, because they don't want to admit they did something wrong.

And in most cases, it seems to work for them.

I don't think that was his first thought when he separated families. It might be turning into a bargaining chip after the fact, now that he sees how upset it has made us.

Chaos negotiations. Do whatever you want to disrupt a situation, and if it blows up in your face, look for whatever you can use to bargain with.

It plays to the GOP Voter,and that is all that counts. How many here remember the Cattle Cars used in the early fifties to move people back to Mexico?

We are just seeing a repeat of Policies of the fifties,where is Ozzie and Harriet,or Father knows Best.
