I never thought I would live to see The Day that a US president justified the Russian annexation

of a European country.

"They speak Russian"

So do a lot of people in the Baltic States.

Is The Orange Shitgibbon going to justify their annexation too?

or vice-versa? What about Ireland and Australia? And, of course, Canada?

And anyhow, Russian is one of three official languages in Crimea, not the only one (the others are Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar).

...accompli. There may be theatrical "war"...there may be some small nukes as a visible demonstration to the US that the costs of NATO are too high...that dog and pony show just like KJU's episode of the Apprentice is merely a for public consumption.

Then Putin will have what he wants...NATO ended, Russian hegemony in Europe and Trump ready to continue the Kremlin-shaped strategy here of weakening your neighboring states, ethnic cleansing, etc.
