(115,882 posts)I know they normally don't comment on controversial political issues once they're out of office, but what a powerful statement it would be if they came out with a joint letter condemning this policy.

On this Fathers Day Im thinking of the thousands of children separated from their parents at the border. These children should not be a negotiating tool. And reuniting them with their families would reaffirm Americas belief in & support for all parents who love their children.

I'll temporarily put aside my animosity towards Dubya for the limited purpose of seeing him join a united front on this particular issue. Won't excuse the other things he's done, but this is the type of issue that trum--err, supercedes--partisian politics.
