Trump's moves re: immigration are right out of the DPRK/Kim playbook, stylistically

Step 1: Totally transgress norms of acceptable behavior.
Step 2: Claim you are the party who has been wronged.
Step 3: Demand that other parties negotiate with you.
Step 4: Wrest concessions out of the other parties in exchange for returning to near --but not quite, and in your favor-- pre-Step 1 status and also promises you don't intend to keep.
Step 5: Claim you've been magnanimous and excessively accommodating.
Step 6: Wait a bit... then return to Step 1.

We're on Step 3, and Dems better not fall for it. Don't agree to an immigration bill which contains ANYTHING you wouldn't otherwise support just because Trump has taken hostages. The damage would be broader, deeper, and longer lasting. It sucks, but that's the situation.
