Never mind the bottom-dwellers who are CBP. A relative of mine used to work for a private company which contracted to do background investigations/checks on federal employee applicants -- it covered a wide swath of federal agencies, within a certain geographic region. His experience was CBP had the lowest standards as to what was disqualifying in an applicant, and also the sketchiest applicants on average. There is no depravity I would not expect from CBP.
