Instead of admitting a "mistake", Trump makes a fool of himself, FOREVER.

Last edited Tue Jun 19, 2018, 08:18 AM - Edit history (1)

Yesterday, Trump could have admitted this was a "mistake" and set up a release procedure. Instead, he doubles down. If the "mistake" was admitted yesterday, there would already be relief and some children may have been reunited with their parents.

Trump has attacked the single most powerful human concept "family."

..... NOTHING IS MORE POWERFUL AN IDEA THAN our FAMILY.

Throughout human history, family is an idea that unites us all. Humans love their children. This is universal everywhere. Everyone talks about our mom and dads and our family experiences. We love our children. Our strongest love is for our children. To attack our children, and put our children in "cages" is beyond stupid. Around the world , all nations, will attack Trump. Trump will lose. Trump has lost. Trump can release the children today. Admit a "mistake" and move on. Maybe that will happen. Probably not.

It will be interesting to see if any Republicans desert his brain-addled idea?

Or if they will continue to march deeper and deeper into the swamp?

and explained the universal idea of "family." Blaming someone else will not work. Everyone knows who is responsible for this. I believe some Republicans will desert him. If Trump released the children today, and.none of the children have been hurt Trump can move on.

But it this continues indefinitely, and while this is continuing some children get sick and die, or fall and are injured severely, then Trump will get the blame for that too. That blame for injuring and the potential sickness of some of the 2000 that are being held captive will destroy Trump. Letting the children go back to their parents is the only sane idea. When and if children are injured or get very sick or worse, then the problem will be far worse. And indeed Trump will be responsible for those injuries, sickness, and "worse". These children are being held under his rules. This is illegal. No trial, no judge has ruled this is legal, this is against human decency.

..Today, all sane and reasonable contacts with Trump..are trying to convince him to do the right thing and release the children. That is what yesterday was about. Tomorrow will be about the same idea. Release the children to their parents.

bills in Congress (GOP ones not the Feinstein one) would allow the GOP to put kids in jail indefinitely. So there is no point in even talking to them. And the GOP went back on their word with CHIP. What is the point of negotiating with such liars anyway.

To him, cooperation, compromise, and empathy shows that you are "weak" and that seems to be his biggest fear, showing "weakness".

Little does he realize that his bullying, cruel, tactics make him look weak. A strong leader (and dare I say "real man"?) looks out for, helps, and takes care of the vulnerable and the little children.

As stated, now is the time to release all the children, before injury, sickness, or death. When those 3 regular human happenings, happen,,, then Trump will be in much worse trouble. Holding 2000 children against their will and the will of their parents is absurd.

If Trump releases the children today.. maybe somehow Trump can recover. But the idea of holding children against their will and the will of their parents is absurd. It is idiotic beyond belief. It is against every single idea that this country stands for. It is against every single idea that humans believe in.

..Perhaps part of this decision, at first, was his true belief that Democrats would agree to finance the "WALL" in return for letting the children go. He might have be "sure" that that was going to work. Yes, he offered (in his mind) a reasonable compromise, and Democrats are at fault.

But that will not work. Everyone knows that but Trump. Even Trump knows it.

They claim it will deter illegal immigration. They argue: "if they just stay in their home country and don't try to enter the US illegally, then they won't be separated." You can find this all over twitter and elsewhere. As Fox News puts them all on the same page, this will be the party line.

Of the "proud" Deplorables I know, one has been ostracized from her family, another has alienated her children and an entire family no longer speak to one another. Curious that the two women are both in abusive relationships and as for the family they let greed tear them apart.

Nothing he and his sycophants say and spin can explain this fiasco away. He has been tarred and feathered with the labels of monster, cruel, inhuman, Nazi, Fascist, and more. Even Jeff Session gave a speech yesterday stating that their policy isn't anything at all like Nazis. That tells me that these labels are hitting home. And even if Trump ended the policy right now, the labels would not go away. This is now part of his presidential legacy and history. He will be reviled throughout the ages. Probably even more reviled than Benedict Arnold or Richard Nixon. His future post-WH will not be rosy. Assuming that he manages to stay out of prison, (not at all certain), he will be shunned by decent people around the world. His family Brand is ruined forever. People will simply refuse to buy the Trump goods and services. He might even face another bankruptcy, because courts will at the very least impose heavy fines for his crimes. Money from Russian banks and mobsters will dry up, because everything Trump will have become worthless.

So while we agonize over these crying babies and mothers, we need to all stay calm. Mueller is working away in the background. Trump's emoluments case is coming up. And there will be elections in Nov that will heartily spank Republicans for their cowardice, immorality, and treason.

So let's keep the pressure on. Contact your senators and be sure to say this policy is a Fascist policy. Even Ted Cruz (my senator), who could not care less about anyone but himself, sees the handwriting on the wall, and wants to distance himself from it by writing a bill.

For all their lip service devoted to family values and morality and suchlike, when it comes to political expediency, Republicans will shitcan any standard. Busting up families? Not a problem; they're criminals without a conviction, even the kids. And those kids are going to be MS-13 gang members anyway. At least the ones who aren't paid actors.

They'll squirt more ink than a platoon of squids and their ovine partisans will pick the rationalization they like. When it falls apart, they'll just seize on another one.
