so in some jurisdictions, 'authorities' went way away from reason in 'addressing' such, 'rules being rules,' you know.

4. Some residual of policy that school teachers are not to touch students?? - fear of charge of .....

Fear of charge of inappropriate behavior.

This is 'best case' theory. (Seriously doubt anyone behind this policy is considering this possibility. School rule is the result of fear of parents filing a lawsuit. The parents of the kidnapped children have zero legal standing.

I accidentally brushed against a boy's long hair as I walked behind him to get to a student who had a question and the kid screamed, "YOU TOUCHED ME!!!"

I rounded up on him and said in a stern but quiet voice, "If I touch you, you'll know it..." (The truth is, I would never intentionally touch a child, unless they represented a physical threat to the other students or myself.)

Didn't hear a peep from him the rest of the school year.

11. If I were to posit 'NOT the evil scenario' it would go like this ...

Not all employees are going to actually want to have physical contact with the kids. Which is their right I suppose. So if you have some of the adult workers doing so, it would obligate the ones not comfortable with doing so to feel as if they should also be doing so, so it's simpler to just say 'nobody do it'.

Now, the fact that they won't let the kids comfort one ANOTHER makes me suspect it's actually the cruel/evil scenario in play.

I heard yesterday on MSNBC there could be only four workers with how many children???? Who knows what they are hiding. Everything is coming out of the fascist handbook of horrors.

10. siblings aren't even allowed to hug each other-main contractor yells at them "no hugging"

The main contractors for government money are the management and superintendents...

the hired help to feed the kids and give them clothes and get them out of the cages to sleep on the floors! are low paid locals-subcontracted help.

our own Federal government is paying 'for profit' contacters a very tidy sum per kid-per day to care for them.

by the time the government money makes it to the kids they're eating a sandwich on a plastic tray and sleeping on a dirty warehouse floor in cages.

Immigrant kids tell CBS they go hungry in Trump camps after being fed only ‘apples and water’

After the interview, King revealed that multiple children told her they went hungry while in the detention center.

“Renaldo also told us that he did not get enough to eat,” King explained. “He said he was fed apples and water — and neither did other people.”
