Border Patrol ripped girl with Down's syndrome away from her mom -- and now she's lost

Joining a chorus of critics as diverse as New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and former First Ladies Laura Bush, Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray denounced President Donald Trump’s immigration policy, which has resulted in 2,000 kids being forcibly separated from their families — including a little girl with Down’s syndrome whose father is a legal U.S. resident.

“We strongly urge the U.S. government to reconsider this policy,” Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray said Tuesday. He called the Trump administration policies “cruel and inhumane,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

Videgaray, who’d recently spoken to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, cited the case of a ten-year-old girl with Down’s syndrome. She was split from her mother and brother when the family tried to enter the country and they were sent to different holding facilities. The girl’s father is a legal U.S. resident and the government of Mexico is working to reunite them, the Journal reports.

“This situation is unacceptable,” Videgaray said and called on the international community to act.

What the hell is the matter with these damn fools!

A missing child is bad enough but one with a major disability is "lost" what the hell ever that means!

She came hoping for better care. He was taken and she was worried he wouldn’t get his meds. As I understood it she said they did give him something but not the meds she had been giving him.

We cannot assume these kids are all healthy and that they will get the medical care they need.

I doubt she ran off on her own. Someone screwed up here. Especially if they know who her legal resident father is and he's looking to be reunited.
