We strongly urge the U.S. government to reconsider this policy, Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray said Tuesday. He called the Trump administration policies cruel and inhumane, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Videgaray, whod recently spoken to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, cited the case of a ten-year-old girl with Downs syndrome. She was split from her mother and brother when the family tried to enter the country and they were sent to different holding facilities. The girls father is a legal U.S. resident and the government of Mexico is working to reunite them, the Journal reports.
This situation is unacceptable, Videgaray said and called on the international community to act.

(41,986 posts)She came hoping for better care. He was taken and she was worried he wouldnt get his meds. As I understood it she said they did give him something but not the meds she had been giving him.
We cannot assume these kids are all healthy and that they will get the medical care they need.

(45,450 posts)I doubt she ran off on her own. Someone screwed up here. Especially if they know who her legal resident father is and he's looking to be reunited.
