Modern Family Creator: I'm Leaving Fox Over Network's Coverage of Child Migrant Separation

Modern Family Co-Creator and Executive Producer Steve Levitan announced Tuesday he will leave the show in the future, outraged over Fox News promotion of the Trump administration and its agenda.
Levitan, who has joined Seth McFarlane and Judd Apatow in his strong criticism of the news channel, said that Fox has been a wonderful home for most of my career, but realizes there are others who, while concerned, are not in the position to speak out.
Levitan added that he doesnt mind conservative views when they are based on facts; however, he feels Fox News 23-hour-a-day support of the NRA, conspiracy theories and Trumps lies gets harder to swallow every day, especially since hes worked on a show marked by diversity and inclusion.
Levitan began expressing anger following the airing of Laura Ingrahams Fox News program Monday night, during which she likened immigrant detention centers to summer camps and boarding schools, arguing that children are treated well, despite being separated from their families upon crossing the southern border.
Mediaite reached out to Fox News. They declined to comment.
