Hiding behind the flag - literally - and looking out over the audience to see what kind of reaction he gets. It doesn't get any more transparent than that, but the Trumptards won't get it. They're impervious to everything but Trump propaganda.

He should have been clutching a bible as well. That would have made the hypocrisy complete.

But JFC, what if Obama dry-humped the flag ala Trump? The mock-shitstorm on the usual RW media would be so predictable: "He exhibits a basic lack of respect for our precious flag, under which our ancestors fought, bled and died for our freedoms; and frankly, it's pretty disgusting to see the American presidency brought so low, as it has under this most divisive of presidents, and now, he desecrates the flag."
