Probably the dumbest question ever on DU, but...

I am genuinely curious.

Can regular schmucks like me somehow do an emergency sponsorship or emergency foster to get these children quickly out of the prisons they are in?

Can something be done by an average citizen to take them in now, with the goal of getting them re-united ASAP with their parents?

a child. Anything to alleviate the suffering. I’ve worked with children for 25 years. I know they don’t have staff or materials to adequately care for babies or children. Your question is a good one. We just want to make it better.
