https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/trumps-ployBy Josh Marshall | June 20, 2018
The President says hes signing an executive order to end family separations. The actual aim seems to be to pick a fight with the courts and allow separations to continue while blaming judges. According to The New York Times, the President will sign an executive order allowing children to be detained indefinitely with their parents. The problem is that that violates a 1997 consent decree saying that you cant detain/imprison children for more than 20 days (technically whats currently happening isnt detention). It straight up violates that order. So what will almost inevitably happen is that a court will step in, say you cant do that and then Trump will announce that the judge is forcing him to keep separating families.

With or without kids, this is an absolute horrorshow.
Congressfolks, please pound on those doors every day....
bring the press... bring humanitarian organizations,
bring the American public in massive numbers.
The Trumps have scattered their prisoners around
the country... trying to hide and deceive. Please be
vigilant and don't let up on these fuckers.
Just saying... many Germans had no idea what was
really going on either until the camps were liberated.
That cannot be permitted to happen here.
