T-Mobile is not saying whether it will sever ties with a merger adviser who reacted dismissively to an anecdote about a 10-year-old with Down syndrome who was separated from her mother and detained by Immigration and Customers Enforcement.
"Wah wah," Corey Lewandowski said in an appearance on Fox News while hearing about the girl being "taken from her mother and put in a cage."
T-Mobile hired Lewandowski's firm, Turnberry Solutions, in August to provide guidance on how to win regulatory approval for the wireless company's proposed Sprint merger.
Sticking by the former Donald Trump presidential campaign manager could earn points for loyalty with the Trump administration, while splitting with Lewandowski over his support of Trump's immigration policy could draw the president's ire. A decision either way is likely to alienate some T-Mobile customers.
