Attorney General Jeff Sessions disclosed Thursday that FBI agent Peter Strzok no longer has his security clearance.
"Mr. Strzok as I understand has lost his security clearance," Sessions stated during a radio interview on "The Howie Carr Show."
The Hill has reached out to the Justice Department for further comment.
Sessions's remark comes after Strzok's attorney confirmed on Tuesday that the counterintelligence agent was escorted from the FBI building amid an internal review of his conduct.
Strzok has been at the center of ire on the right over private text messages he exchanged with then-FBI attorney Lisa Page that blasted President Trump and other political figures during the 2016 election.

Chances are they are being unequally applied (just like McCabe), but once you are in the crosshairs management pulls out the toolbox to get you. That is why if you feel they are moving towards removal, it is important to follow every rule to the letter.
I have a fantasy that he is called before the House committee and says, yes I had my political opinions which are protected by the 1st amendment. I never took a single action that was improper based on them, and you will never prove otherwise. Nunes why are you questioning me when you actually know of agents who did act on their political biases. Shouldn't you be down here answering questions like me, and how about the agent, insert name, who leaked the existence of irrevelant to you for political purposes. It seems he should be answering these questions as well.

(6,324 posts)Aside from the improper relationship with a coworker, all those texts he was sending that have people all worked up were sent on a government issued phone on a work account.
Had those messages not been sent during work hours, on work system, you might have a First Amendment case.
But they were sent on work time on work devices onnwork networks.
And by doing so his actions have people reason to doubt the FBIs impartiality and have Trump a giant wedge to try and use to discredit the Mueller investigation.

I've reached a new level of disgust these last few weeks. It feels like it's time to make a national statement, a nation wide strike, or something. Everyone in the maggot's administration is playing with a criminal handicap, it seems. We have to overlook something about every last one of them.
Enough is enough.
