of the country to register young voters?
Unfortunately this 'children/parent separation' issue is taking all the oxygen in the news and these Parkland Students are not getting the coverage they should be getting in their effort to stop guns.
If you happen to be in a city that they are at today or coming to in the near future - please keep us informed of their whereabouts and their mission.
They started their tour in my city of Chicago about a week ago. I posted that here on DU - but I haven't seen much about them since then.

(10,014 posts)SIOUX CITY More than 150 people came Wednesday to North High School to discuss ways to end gun violence in schools and other places, in an event kicked off by comments from a student survivor of a February mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school....After Corin spoke, the tours youth meetup at North High saw 45 local and Parkland pupils moving to tables to discuss ways to impact gun laws. They also made posters, then took them for a protest at the downtown Sioux City office of U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, later in the afternoon, where about 100 people turned out.

(10,014 posts)OMAHA - The town hall-style event, at the Hilton Omaha at 10th and Cass Streets, drew more than 250 people, a diverse crowd of teens, adults and parents with kids. The tour has made stops in Chicago and Kansas City and has stops planned in Sioux City and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after Omaha. More than 50 stops are planned in 20-plus states.

(10,014 posts)CEDAR RAPIDS - On Thursday, they spent the afternoon at Raygun in Cedar Rapids, where Emma Gonzalez, Cameron Kasky and other other Parkland, Florida, students joined members of NextGen Iowa. A town hall was also held later in the evening at Linn-Mar High School in Marion.
