'These aren't our kids': Fox News dehumanizes immigrants to defend Trump's family separation policy

"These are people from another country."
AARON RUPAR JUN 22, 2018, 8:58 AM

Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade defended President Trump on Friday by pointing out that while his harsh “zero tolerance” policy may have resulted in thousands of children being separated from their parents at the southern border, at least the kids affected aren’t Americans.

“Like it or not, these aren’t our kids. Show them compassion, but it’s not like he’s doing this to the people of Idaho or Texas,” he said. “These are people from another country.”

Host Ainsley Earhardt replied by saying that Trump “just wants to make sure we vet who’s coming across the border, in case it’s MS-13 or drugs.”

Trump, of course, has also frequently used dehumanizing language about undocumented immigrants, referring to them as “animals” who will “infest” the country.

Brian Kilmeade an friends can say what they want, but these kids are children of a God they professes to believe in. Which makes them uncaring HYPOCRITES.

South America and Mexico. Technically and biologically, they aren't my kids, but they ARE *my* kids. I care what happens to them. I want them to be happy, to be happy in school, to succeed in life. I don't care if they only speak Spanish in their homes and to each other. Yesterday was my last day as a teacher for this year and I miss them already.

Fox news will never, ever call these people what they are and will never say why they are fleeing Central America.

they are kids, no one cares about whether or not they are American. Trolls think human rights are only Americans' rights.

Maybe his citizenship should be revoked and his U.S. assets seized due to the serious damage he has done to the truth and the American psyche. "Like it or not," he's Australian. He's a person "from another country." And he's done and continues to do one Hell of a lot more damage to the U.S. than those kids crossing the border ever will.
