Open letter to Paul Ryan

Position: Dishonourable Member of the US Congress, Liar, Hypocrite, and All-Around Disgusting Excuse for a Human Being

Paul:

It was with great interest – and an incredible effort to surpress my natural gag reflex – to hear your recent statement, to whit:

“I’m beginning to think that the Democrats who make this alternative argument are less interested in keeping families intact and more interested in having open borders.”

The only people who believe the immigration issue is a choice between completely open borders without restriction and jailing children are stupid people – like you and the “pResident” you support. But having watched you over the years, your incredible stupidity comes as no surprise.

I understand you are (or purport to be) a Catholic. Having been raised as a strict Catholic myself, I am aware of the tenets of the church you claim to be a member of. It’s the church of the word of Jesus Christ. You might vaguely remember him – the man who admonished his followers to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and care for the sick and dying.

So I can’t help but wonder how you can justify tax-cuts for the wealthy, while gutting the programs that are in keeping with Christ’s own words. I can’t help but wonder how you can vilify those who recognize those words, and actually live by them.

You have championed the causes of a party that has plunged the middle-class into debt in order to enrich the already-wealthy (like yourself), a party that has sought every means possible to prevent access to affordable healthcare, a party that has literally taken food out of the mouths of the hungry, a party that ignores the plight of the homeless.

And as though the aforementioned wasn’t enough, you are now supporting the warehousing in cages of innocent children.

I remember you, Paulie. I remember you showing up at a soup kitchen, uninvited, during your bid to become vice president. I remember how you pretended to scrub pots and pans that had already been cleaned in order to create a photo-op depicting you as someone who actually cared. You demonstrated your hypocrisy for all to see – a man who only wants to be “seen” as a do-gooder, while your only real aim was a photo meant to convince the public that you weren’t the empty, self-serving, soul-less prick you really are.

I would advise you to go to confession on a daily – no, an hourly basis – in order to keep yourself in a “state of grace”, lest you die suddenly and have to face your Creator in a state of mortal sin, having to answer for your transgressions against your fellow man. But between you and me, I doubt that you fear “the loss of heaven and the pains of hell”, because you’re a hypocrite who only pretends to adhere to the religion you allegedly follow, while disrespecting its principles at every opportunity.

So now you will be resigning from office, knowing that your chances of re-election are somewhere between zero and nil, in order to live large off that “massive tax cut” you promised to you constituents, knowing full well that you were only promoting a tax-scam that would steal from them in order to line your own pockets.

You are literally the poster boy for hypocrisy, the promulgation of lies that serve your own purposes, and the promotion of lies against Democrats determined to expose you and your ilk as the bottom-feeders you are.

You are for the shipment of innocent children to “interment camps” in the same way Nazis were for the extermination of Jewish children. There is no way around that; there is no way any decent human being could countenance such actions, no less promote them.

Never before has the phrase the whole world is watching been more relevant than it is right now. And the world is condemning you, your actions, your mealy-mouthed, spineless rhetoric.

You stole from hard-working middle-class workers in order to line your own pockets – and, quite frankly, I hope you choke on every dollar you have taken from them in order to enrich yourself.

But have no fear for your immortal Catholic soul. I’m sure that your God – being all-knowing and all-seeing – will judge you accordingly.
