That's a huge loss, he and Godin were arguably the best centre back tandem in the WC.

On the other hand, Aleksandr Golovin is not starting as he is on a yellow.

Russia are playing far above their real level though, so I do not fully buy into them yet.

I go 3-2 Uruguay with Cavani and Suarez both scoring.

I hate the 2 yellow rule. They only wipe after quarterfinals so if you get a 2nd yellow in five highly pressurised games, you are suspended. I would wipe after group stage or allow 3 and wipe after quaterfinals.

He is their engine room. Both their starting fullbacks (Fernandes and Zhirkov) have been switched out too, and that's where Urugyay is tearing them apart.

right behind Mexico. I have a soft spot for Luis Suarez, biting and all I initially wanted Argentina to go all the way, but they've been shockingly horrible.
