I'll never forget when Claire McCaskill called out Joe and Mika on their coverage, and they both became oh so hyper-defensive.

Jeb Bush complained about all the "Free Publicity" Trump got. Our media did not factor the point, that his spews were publicity for the right wing, while the liberal media, thought playing ridicule games was accomplishing something, and it proved that all it did is make way, to spin more publicity for Trump.
Since Trump came into the Arena of Campaigning, "EVERYDAY" ... ALL DAY.... every topic on the news is "Trump". Trump bask in it, and send out an absurd Tweet, because he knows, they will latch on to it, and give him another 48 hrs of publicity.

The Media IS NOT talking about "how we can do things different, or promoting the Ideals of What the Democrats will do, they just bring on a sting of talking heads, that talk about "Trump". It's Publicity!!!!

No we can't Ignore it, but we certainly can have a better system and media that talks of how the Democrats would handle things differently. Rather than only spinning Trumps spew over and over and over.

Critique without an alternative concept... means very little, and does even less to promote the Democratic Message and publicize the Democratic Ideals. It says nothing about HOW we could do things different.

I posed a question on here among this forum, by asking: Asylum Seekers: [u"What is YOUR idea of what should happen and how it should happen?"] Only a few voiced their ideas of how we could do it better in dealing with them. Most ignored it...

I posed another statement, which said... It's not enough to just get Trump Out... The point is, "we should be INFORMING the America public... about HOW we can make things better, and What alternatives we have that can make America better, so the people know what our objective are and have ideas of HOW we expect to achieve our objectives.


We saw the Republican Criticize the Health Care Program for Over six years, and when they got the office, they had NO Concept and No Plan. We don't need to be caught in that type of scenario, where we criticize, but do not have a plan that is 'well known to the people' as to how we will do things different and how we can and will do it better.

The general public knows what it does not like, but we need to be telling them what we can do and how we can do it, to make things better, so they have something to hold on to, and something to stand behind. When people understand the Ideas of HOW, they are more willing to lend their support and they will fight for it, because they understand what it is and how it is planned to be achieved.

I'm not against the media calling Trump out on his madness, but I want to see more promotion of what our Ideals Are and HOW we can achieve them, but even more so, I want to hear it told to the people, what those Ideals entail, and how it can benefit the people of this nations. Then... people can talk and spread and make that the narrative in their circles within society. That builds a power base for our aims and ideals. it also puts the republicans on defense, because we know their ideas can't topple our ideas, and the people will know that our ideas are better for their lives and the lives of their children.


We saw republican cry and whine about the debt... but when they got in office, Trump waste $millions flying to his club, he even used his club at our expense, when we have Camp David for Off Site needs. We see them give away $1.x Trilliong to the wealthy, with no mandate, while we sit on top of over $20 Trillion in debt... and a crumbling Infrastructure, when that money could have best been used to fix our infrastructure, helps start up business, and support National Health Care for American People. Instead, Republican Gave it Away, only so they could have an excuse to cut Medicare and Medicaid, and cut public services...

Our Liberal Media should have been all over that, telling the people the ways that money could benefit All of society and support programs and services for the people, and making it Clear that we cannot afford to give tax breaks, when our tax base is needed to fix all the broken stuff in America.

It would have been good if the Liberal Media had outlined day in and day out, the benefit that No Tax cut could provide to the improvement of our infrastructure, our struggling cities, and our struggling citizens, in the improvements of America.

We already know, that The wealthy would only use it to buy back their own stock, pay themselves bonuses, and hide money off shore, and use it to move even more business offshore. Yet, we let them lock in the cuts for a lifetime for the wealthy, while the public was given a few dollars, for a few years, that does not equal enough to pay their fuel cost to drive back and forth to work, provided they even have a job.

I posted a thread that discussed, how America prospered when Tax was High on Corporations, and why high taxed helped America grow. Because it was mandatory that they invest in America, and American People if they wanted a tax credit and tax write off. The Crash - "is coming" ... Trump will be the culprit and all the republicans will be complicit !!!

It could and maybe would be a benefit to all America if the Media spoke of these things and actually provided the information to the people.

Our schools systems have failed to provide a variety of information to our young people, and young people are hungry for information, to help them know how things got so screwed up, and what is necessary to change the course and regain the lost information, that schools have been structured "not" to teach.

We have now, a deficit in Civics Education, and that causes a sense of declining responsibility because the Civics history that needs to be taught, is not being taught. When Civics is not taught, then Voting Numbers decline... That plays into the hands of the Republican and support the Gerrymandering Games that Republicans are doing, because the people have not been taught enough about Civics Education for the people to understand the damages being done to them and how it has made people less interested and less informed about the political process and our governance system.

Sadly, many people don't even know who their public official representative is, and others are not informed about the true importance of voting and how it affects their lives when they don't vote.

So... I'd say... its time our Public Media expand what they do and how they do it to INFORM people. and not focus on promoting the madness spins of Trump... but counter it with information about How we can do things better for the sake of America people.

Republican tell people, their plans are better... but we don't have the Outspoken voices that are telling people the details of How Our plans can and will make life better for all people and their offspring's.

Every two or three days, the media is hung up on another Trump spin...and every segment on their talk show news, repeats the same things from 6pm till 11 pm. When they could use some of that time promoting Democratic Methods and Democratic Ideas and How we can make things better, and how it benefit the people to do so.

When Trump attacked Mika personally, they totally flipped on Trump.
They now hate that which they helped to create.

When it crosses into personal territory, only then do they say what needs to be said.... but they only "say enough", to protect and defend themselves.

Sadly... its all about "money" and keeping their seat in front of the camera, by "Inciting People with Drama Spins".. we must make them know... we are not "Drama Junkies, looking for a Drama Fix for the day".

in the mornings, I turn to "local news" once I get the headlines of the "talk a thon" that Cable News shows..seem to incessantly spin.
Then I "READ".. !!! I read CSPAN Articles, I watch CSPAN Political Hearings and Sessions, I Read PBS, and Various Other Material that provide In-Depth Information, then I research to verify what I've read, I read History Material and Political Historical Material. It helps me get information, rather than being consumed and caught up in "drama spins from a list of talking heads on these commercial aimed talk show" that masquerade as being NEWS.

I can't stand hearing the continual belligerency of Trumps spews and his Mad Man Voice... of Constant Attacks Upon and Against Everything, followed by his Self Patronizing Lying. I'm tired of hearing the media spins stuff until they find a way to try and make it acceptable.. by saying "Trump does things different'... NO... Trump screws things up !!!

the only thing that will make these Pill selling commercial "talk show" change, is when viewership drops, and their rating fall, and they realize people don't want to hear "tid bits" and be told we will be back after commercial break, and when they come back, they still have "nothing worth hearing to say". They treat us as if we are "Drama Junkies" waiting on the next Drama Antic Fix, ....
