women and girls to safe reproductive health choices. The thing that sticks in my craw is the assault on the left on that very issue. Right now, as a woman and mother and grandmother of daughters, I am livid because the next election won't undo some of this damage.
Likewise, as a woman with a multiracial, multicultural family, some recent immigrants, I am also livid with those who contributed to the pain and suffering of so many by helping install a racist administration.
As a woman who survived the installation of a theocracy elsewhere and escaped from it, I am livid at those who cleared the path for evangelical tyranny.
As a survivor of a war, I am livid with those who thought purity tests would prevent one.
I'm heartsick and livid. Tell me why we should expect the return of human and civil rights over the next couple of decades.

Elections have consequences, that's all there is to it.
