There's no way in Hell that Spanky would make a "centrist" choice. He'd appoint Roy Moore or Jeannine Pirro or Rudy Giuliani if he thought he could get away with it.

They should absolutely stall and stall and stall every second they can. Kennedy brought us gay marriage and you can bet drumpf will put someone who will void it and the right to abortion, he has no clue about the meaning of moderate or centrist and if he did would totally hate it. We will get a racist fascist and that will be the best that can be said. He'll make them swear (on tape) personal loyalty and fealty to him above all else or the asshole won't be nominated. We are totally fucked! i'm beginning to believe even Mueller won't save us because of russian repugs complicity with the theft of our country by a hostile foreign government and it's ugly stupid orange tool.

no budget deals or anything at all should trump proceed with the nominee. GOP would have done exact same thing. They should fight for us by any means possible. Mcconnell set the precedent

Not to want to bash certain folks and their lack of backbone. This isn't "just a SC nomination"...this isn't about "civility"....this is a fight for the very fabric of our country!

What a shocker. Maybe there's some strategy to his statement but meanwhile the Democratic base (i.e. US) is pretty fucking concerned.

I hate to rib him because he has done some good things, but this is one dumbass comment.

Every single Democratic Senator should be echoing Mitch McConnell's words:

"Mr. President, you will not fill this Supreme Court vacancy."

In seating Justice Garland

What, it didn’t work? Neil Gorsuch is on the bench? Fancy that. Maybe your strategy is deficient.

I think that fighting works better than playing Caspar Milquetoast, especially with the thuggish people currently running the (Banana) Republican Party.
