I think the OP is watching a different show than I am. She outlined scenarios. There was no “they will save us” proclamation.

And the Doug Jones thing WAS big, to be sure. It was Alabama after all. But if not for African-American women (Blacks voting out en mass), Doug Jones doesn't happen.

But, to depend on 2 white women who are out of the child-bearing stage to "save us" from right, white male thuglicans who don't have to worry about pregnancy. Dems might be able to stall Supreme-Court-Stealer-In-Chief from appointing a Nazi to the SC. But it won't happen because of those 2 ladies with (R) next to their names that she bought up in the peace she she started her show with.

We have folks on our side to worry about.

Has anybody spoken with Heidi Heitkamp today?

I have noticed they do this all the time, they prospect the political future is if it is going to happen with only todays information. What I do not hear enough of is what is the future political scene if evidence comes out proves Trump is a crooked liar and has tanked the economy? I think that's more likely to happen then not so what going to happen then knuckleheads? <---- cable news talking heads not DU members.

Do you think the Trump supporters are going to want GOP candidate to back Trump then? No they are a selfish lot and when Trump starts making their pizzas cost more they are going to take action.

I enjoy Rachel's educated perspective and usually when she starts the hour out in what seems like left field she brings it all together to further a current news topic. But today she was opened with Alabama and that pervy governor and senator strange and I noticed some dead spots, she seemed to be searching for words I kept waiting for the good news.

Finally when she brought it together to try and fit in to the current situation we are in about new supreme court and I am like "is that it?". Very depressing I liked hearing her share on the phone earlier but she seems powerless tonight. I am praying tomorrow is a better day.

No need for me to watch the replay. I'm still catching up on today's World Cup games.

I'm not a Rachel fan, to put it mildly. I can't tolerate people who have inept weighting of variables and therefore pathetic predictive skills. I doubt she flatly said this would happen, but even if it was presented as a possible scenario, it never should have made the list of scenarios. Trump will only nominate a pro-life candidate, and anyone he nominates will be confirmed.

28 minute windup sounds about right. Chris Cuomo gets to the point within seconds.

Around 2006, when Bush Jr. was in, and the war was on; if you would have told me 2 years , we would be electing an Afro-American as President of the United States, I would have asked what had you been drinking or smoking....Yes Obama was intelligent and a great speaker..but give me a break it ain't going to happen..

So, in 2012, if you would have told me in 4 years, after Obama retired, we would have a crook like Donald Trump as president, I would have told you..it ain't going to happen..

Nobody knows what is going to happen. I once attended a class in the late 70s or early 80s, where the professor said, that someday computers would be so small, and so inexpensive that almost everyone would have one, and further, they would get smaller and smaller so some day..people could carry them around...
.........say 1979.........?? HUGE COMPUTERS..AND...EXCEPTIONALLY EXPENSIVE...!!!! TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS??? .......thousands and thousands????? REMEMER???.........................

SO....nobody knows what is going to happen, its the future........ok ......Beam me up Scotty...........!!!!!

Anyone who actually believes this horseshit is deluding themselves and almost deserve the disappointment they're getting. How many times of the "Lucy pulling out the football" will it take before people stop with this gullible idiocy.

They will act outraged for a while then end up voting for the nominee after being "assured" by said nominee that they would not overturn roe vs wade. A few Democrats will fall for it as well.
