They are not open minded and are very selfish.

Why pull a rule out of your ass that way, unless you have a targeted objective? McConnell DENIED a president his right to have his Supreme Court justice heard in the Senate. That's the spirit of his law. We're just applying the same reasoning.

For collusion with a foreign government. With said court to rule in some of those issues. So no, an illegitimate man does NOT GET TO PICK ANOTHER LIFETIME APPOINTMENT.

Dems should be clear - even if they don't have to power to stop it - that seating another justice while under investigation to what is tantamount to treason, is unacceptable and would render that justice forever illegitimate.

Kagan was seated in 2010, appointed just before the midterms, august I think, on their side on that argument. Unless we peel 2 republicans away from this, there is literally nothing the Democrats can do to prevent this appointment. I wish the facts were different but they're not. Democrats have a hideous record of not voting in the midterms and this is one of the outcomes - every house seat and 1/3 of the senate seats are up in every midterm - there is zero excuse not to vote.

And Democrats did not do anywhere near enough at the time to force a vote on Obama's nomination. I believe everyone was too confident that Hillary was going to win. At least that was the chatter at the time.

There was a period of time between July and October that things were swinging our way. Then the bottom fell out with Comey and his "October Surprise".
