About those U.S. Korean war remains from North Korea

From Japanese news July 7, 2019 :

Pompeo said that a Pentagon team plans to meet with North Korean officials on or about July 12 at the border between North and South Korea to discuss the repatriation of remains ...

In the days following his historic June 12 summit with Kim Jong Un in Singapore, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced that the return of the remains ... had been completed.

Pompeo, however, said that more talks were needed.

“We now have a meeting set up for July 12 where there will be discussions between the folks responsible for the repatriation of remains.”

Pompeo did not meet with the North Korean leader, although U.S. officials had suggested such a meeting was expected.

North Korea committed at last month’s summit to the “immediate repatriation” of remains already identified, but that hasn’t happened yet.

(Again, President Donald Trump had announced that the return of the remains ... had been completed)

They are worth a lot to us. These were men and boys who went there in the 1950s for the most part and never returned.
