This should not be happening.

In spite of all the earnest discussion on the TV machine about Trump's "four finalists" for the SCOTUS and which drove a cab and which belongs to a cult, nothing legitimate is happening today. An illegitimate POTUS cannot appoint a legitimate justice---PERIOD.

I simply refuse to participate in "civil" and "responsible" discussions which assume that Trump, Gorsuch and the fascist du jour to be named this evening are entitled to any respect or deference. Those who do are participating in the destruction of the last shreds of our national integrity, IMHO.

"That's ridiculous!" you say?

"You're not living in the real world!" you say?

You mean the world where "everyone knows that RIDICULOUS Trump will never win"?

Remember that "sign post up ahead" Rod Serling used to warn us about? That's in our rear view mirror,folks.
