(23,018 posts)Working with an enemy state to hack the election in exchange for relief of sanctions which were enacted because of those very acts of war would be by definition TREASON.

Furthermore, given Trump is likely guilty of Treason, he would need to be impeached first.
Believe it or not, people have been convicted of Treason for much lesser acts in the United States.

(12,344 posts)If he is impeached, then it's up to Congress. But in neither case does the Pentagon or the White House decide what meets the standard for legal or impeachment purposes.
