Every other week it's the same BS. He sincerely wants to sit down and tell his side of the story. He wants to defend his honor.
NO HE DOESN'T!! Do you need to fill time in your programming by spending a segment each hour about how THIS WEEK he's back onboard with wanting to meet with Mueller?
Hey Look Media.......SQUIRREL!!

(54,770 posts)I dont think trump lying will bring him down. People knew he was a liar, cheat, greedy, racist/bigoted, and worse, when they voted for him and other GOPers.
But if Mueller has evidence, subpoena him and lets see where it goes.

(872 posts)The talking heads on TV keep saying that it is DOJ policy not to subpoena someone who is a Target. I don't quite understand the difference between them asking him to come in, and being forced via subpoena, and why he could be a target and come in voluntarily, but not get a subpoena.

(872 posts)If he's a Target, why could he be asked to sit down, but not served a Subpoena to do so? They just talked about it on Hardball, and the guy explained that if they're planning on charging someone, they don't want to force them into incriminating themselves. Perhaps if it's voluntary, that makes it different.

(54,770 posts)report implicating trump and/or his kids. Dragging this out, while country suffers, is just wrong. Voters deserve to know before November whats going on.

(32,065 posts)No president has ever accepted a subpoena. Clinton rejected it when they tried it on him. It would lead to a long legal fight which would last a year and without any certain result. I doubt Mueller wants that fight.

(872 posts)If Mueller does not pursue that fight, what option is there other than a go-nowhere report to Congress? Sure, the House might very well Impeach if under Democrats control, but 2/3 in Senate seems difficult if not impossible.
I fear he will also give up on indicting Drumpf while he's still in office, which leaves the investigation over, a House Impeachment, and then 2 more years of Drumpf causing havoc.
The 35-40% never seems to decrease. I am worried that even a scathing report by Mueller will not move that needle. Which leaves us with a wounded President, but leaves him in office.

She's a Trump PR flack, and everyone knows it by now.
