Elizabeth Warren Hints at Possible 2020 Run? 'I'm Going Up That Hill'

After handing out “PERSIST” signs to attendees of her Netroots speech, the Massachusetts senator outlined a tough fight that could serve as a rallying cry for the midterms—or 2020.

During her Friday afternoon keynote address at Netroots Nation, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) seemingly hinted at the possibility that she could run for president in 2020.

“We believe that in America every family deserves a fighting chance, and we’re ready to fight as hard as it takes, as long as it takes, to deliver on that promise,” Warren said to the crowd at the annual liberal confab.

Those fighting words, along with her characterization of a dysfunctional Washington catering to the highest bidder, have become a hallmark of her economic populist rhetoric and would prove crucial to any possible run against President Trump.

“It won’t be easy,” she continued. “We’re going to have to fight uphill. Me? I’m going up that hill. And I hope you are, too. And I hope that you’ll reach your hand out and bring someone else along for the climb.”

That's a stretch. Wishful thinking. Creative out-of-context cherry-picking.

Her policies are the best but she needs to stay where she is. Watching her on TV immediately tells me her candidacy would energize the Trump base like never before. She wouldn't be a strong candidate. A good president but not a good candidate.

However, we need candidates, starting in December [not now], who have broad appeal - not just to win their election, but to win enough seats to really get things done. [Been a long time since we've have one of those].

She would be a great candidate. Are we really going to list "won't energize Trump's deplorable base" as some sort of positive criteria for a democratic candidate for president?
