WORT, Madison's long-running community radio station, attacked.

This morning around 3 a.m. an armed, masked gunman somehow got inside of WORT, Madison's
fired several shots, wounding one of three volunteer DJs. He was treated but released quickly. WORT was off the air for a few hours while police gathered evidence but is now back on again.

The shooter has not been caught and police have no motive for the attack. It seems at least possible that the climate of hostility tRump has created toward the media triggered the attack.

MADISON - A man was injured in a shooting at a downtown Madison radio station Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to community radio station WORT-FM for a reported shooting just after 3 a.m., Police Chief Mike Koval said in his daily blog. A 33-year-old man was found at the scene with a non-life-threatening wound and taken to a hospital.

Other people were present and reported multiple shots being fired, according to the blog.

The shooting doesn’t appear to be random."

until the perp is found and facts surface.

I love WORT; I have a personal connection to that station. So awful that this little community radio station must now be afraid for its safety.

I hope the injured DJ makes a full recovery and the shooter found and brought to justice.

The injured DJ will not be returning to the show, understandably.

that was firebombed by the KKK twice and shot at a couple more times. Never thought I would hear of that happening in WI.

and calls to violence 24/7...with the exception of the 3 hours that some "liberal" university decides to pay Hate Radios fucking bills by broadcasting their games live on their Hate Stations.

I'm not advocating violence, but these purveyors of hate need to "peacefully" be put out of business if we are ever going to have a chance to save and heal our democracy.
