Harry Belafonte to receive the Order of Merit in Jamaica

-the second highest honour - national honors announced today Independence Day. They are handed out on Heroes Day in October. Since he announced that there will be no more public appearances, I doubt that he will receive it in person.
Harry spend a significant part of his childhood in Jamaica.
