Democratic pollster Nancy Zdunkewicz said on Monday that President Trump's disapproval rating among Democrats was higher than Republicans' support for him.
Zdunkewicz, the managing director of Democracy Corps, said its recent survey showed Trump with a 83 percent approval rating among Republicans, with 60 percent saying they strongly approved. But those numbers were lower than the 90 percent of Democrats who said they disapproved of the president, with 80 percent saying they strongly disapproved.
"We had [83] percent of Republicans who approve of Donald Trump, and that's what he's talking about in all of these rallies, that 'I have very strong approval with Republicans,'" Zdunkewicz told Hill.TV's "What America's Thinking."
"However, if you actually look at the strong disapproval numbers, that is 80 percent for Democrats," she continued. "So Democrats are getting much more intensity out of Donald Trump. Also if you even look further, there's much weaker strong approval of Donald Trump among Republicans."
Trump has touted his high approval among Republicans, even claiming last month that his poll numbers among Republicans are higher than President Lincoln's.
