At present, Donald Trump has a lot on his plate. He’s got his escalating trade war with China and his unresolved feud with the E.U. He’s got the ongoing Robert Mueller investigation and a possible interview, the stakes of which jumped significantly over the weekend when he admitted that the purpose of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting was to get dirt about Hillary Clinton from a lawyer connected to the Kremlin. He’s got fights to start with professional athletes. Yet even with everything he’s got going on, the president makes time to indulge in his favorite not-so-guilty pleasure: watching himself, over and over, on TV.
