Sorry if you don't have Facebook, but this cracks me up. Papa John's Facebook page is getting spanked by people pissed off about what he said re: Obamacare. What's really funny is how the right keeps trying to say that no one wants Obamacare.

(23,616 posts)I was impressed by how many people are reacting negatively to what he said.

(23,616 posts)There's been a lot of buzz about some comments made recently by our founder regarding the potential impact of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on our business. We certainly understand the importance of healthcare to our customers, our employees, small business owners and their employees.
As a publicly traded company, we were responding to a direct question from an analyst on our quarterly financial conference call about the anticipated costs of complying with the Act. When certain business costs increase such as fuel, ingredients or employee healthcare there is naturally an impact to the price of products and services.
The vast majority of Papa John's restaurants are owned by small business people, each of whom will be impacted in different ways by costs associated with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Papa Johns remains fully committed to providing our customers with better ingredients and better pizza at the best value.

(89,276 posts)the people who go there are usually the ones without other pizza places to go to. they feel like getting take out, pizza etc. mostly limited to crappy chains. if they feel like pizza it's papa johns. or papa johns or dominoes or pizza hut.
in my area they are always offering coupons and other deals .

(23,616 posts)I agree with you. I just thought it was funny that there are so many people telling him to stick it on their Facebook page. Papa John's posted something about "Friendship Day" or something and even in that post people are telling them they suck.

(20,998 posts)...I bet he gets all moist just thinking of knuckle-draggers lining up to buy his shitty pizza to bash marriage equality.

(269,201 posts)worst pizza I ever ate....about half a piece was more than enough.
CFA is horrible from what I remember as a kid (the last time I allowed it to touch my tastebuds), while Papa Johns is at least as good as Jabba the Hut. However.... I will not be eating any Papa Johns from here on out.

Regular full time employees(driver) like me DO NOT GET OFFERED HEATH INSURANCE,only managers. Thats how cheap john schnader is. But yet they raise delivery fees and stillpay me the same for delivery and pocket the rest. Greed...............

You have to be a manager at papa johns to receive health care, even before obamacare.

Scnatter's big beef is not the cost of ACA per se. What's twists his undies is that he would have to offer the same insurance to his rank and file employees/slaves that he offers to his managers/overseers

We usually buy pizza from a little shop that my kids go to school with the kids of the owners.
Tasty pizza and great service.

(466 posts)I think people are finally getting fed up with corporate greed and can see through their lies.
Definitely support your local pizzerias instead. I realize most corporations are managed by republicans, but I draw the line when they start turning their company into a vocal political platform.
