The Conspiracy in Plain Sight

Vladimir Putin hated Hillary dating back to at least 2014. He blamed her for the uprising during his fixed election in Russia. The Russian GRU hacked into emails and anything they could get on Hillary. Putin loved Donald Trump and thought he had him in his pocket from well before the election.

Here's my theory of what happened. Prior to the June 9, 2016 meeting, Putin was supporting Trump in the Republican primaries. During the Democratic primaries, he pushed for Sanders. What the Russians were doing is gathering information and trying in every way possible to hurt Hillary and help Trump in the primaries. Cambridge Anylitica was mining info, so they knew who on social media were emotionally invested in Bernie. The Russians also were playing footsies with Stein. But the Russians, just like the rest of us, thought Hillary would win the nomination and certainly beat Trump in the General. Still, what an asset Trump would be in a damaged Hillary administration, shouting about the "deep state" the "fixed election" and on and on.

So, the Russians used contacts to reach Donald Jr. to set up a meeting, deliberately writing incriminating statements in the original email, like the Russian Government wants your father to win. In my opinion, this was the real test. All the other probes, to Stone, Popodoupolous, Flynn and the rest, were just that, probes. But if Jr. responds positively to this email and agrees to meet, without calling the FBI, the Russians know they got them. They have the meeting. That's the collusion and the conspiracy. At that point the Russians know that the Trump team realizes anything the Russians do to tip this election to Trump, the Trump team owes.

Stone remains outside the official Trump team, but continues to remain in contact with the Trump team, especially Donald Sr. Stone is the Trump cut out who conspires with Guciffer 2.0, wikileaks and DC leak, including Assange, himself. Stone knows when to drop the email hacks. Right before the Democratic convention to peal the Bernie votes away from Hillary and halt the momentum of a positive convention. He knows to tell the conspirators to drop the Podesta emails right after the access Hollywood tapes. Stone knows which counties to micro-target to suppress the Democratic vote.

The Russians didn't want to hand any material over to the Trump team. They just wanted Trump & Co. to know they had the material, they knew when to release it for maximum impact, and that if Trump won, he owed Putin.

Stone's the key guy. Manafort helps, but Stone is the key guy to prove that the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian Government to Defraud the United States.
