(17,984 posts)I'm sorry, M, but I cannot bear to watch her. She has basically stated there is no one left to corroborate Comey's testimony.

(10,952 posts)A person would have to be deaf, mute and blind to not realize that Trump and his minions are operating a criminal enterprise that is aided and abetted by the Republican controlled Congress. Forget draining the swamp, they want to drain the U S Treasury and totally destroy the Federal Government. They view the majority of people as nothing more than canon fodder for the military or serfs to serve the wealthy.

(10,952 posts)realize that there is no way that all of theses FBI agents who have been hounded out of office are bad people. I don't buy it at all. To me it comes across as Trump and his minions continuing to interfere with an ongoing criminal investigation. This is the most corrupt administration ever and it is supported by a corrupt Republican controlled Congress.

(15,100 posts)but they're still here. I don't see why Mueller can't call them back to testify.
The thing that makes me upset is how much talent and years of experience that we have lost at both the FBI and State Department. I hope that we can restore these people to their rightful jobs in 2021.

(75 posts)at the FBI certainly doesn't mean they can't provide testimony or evidence. Trump can't have it both ways. If he still wants to go after them after they leave the FBI, then they can defend themselves and/or go after him.

(14,565 posts)If so, bravo to Rachel for briefly joining the real world.
I don't know any of the specifics but that has been my big picture conclusion all along, and oft stated here, that no kidding Trump and company colluded and schemed and crimed throughout. There will never be enough evidence to prove it, not when and where it matters.
Donald Trump will effectively skate, and spend the rest of his term chirping about it with terms like witch hunt.
That is what we have been facing all along. I still can't believe so many people waste time and spoil their perspective by following day to day details. That is the absolute worst and most idiotic method possible, if you actually want to see where we are likely to be down the road.
I say briefly for Rachel because her instincts are so brutal she'll have no clue toward the type of mistake she made, and therefore she'll repeat the same flawed process again. The day to day detail types can't help themselves from that type of comical error. Absolutely scary to go through life that way.

(3,515 posts)justice. And the firing of individuals in the Justice Department who led or participated in the investigation of the Russian ties of participants in Trump's campaign is also evidence of obstruction of justice and maybe worse.
Trump is his own worst enemy in this matter.

(3,515 posts)Rachel points to painful truths that hurt all who voted for Trump.
I find the details fascinating. How could Republicans seriously think that the American people will turn a blind eye to their collaboration and catering to the Russian oligarchs.
Rachel is very clear in her thinking. She is not making mistakes.
Donald Trump will not skate. He should resign now and spare the country the ordeal of his downfall. But he won't because he is an egomaniac for which the more polite terms are "egocentric" or "narcissistic."

(5,269 posts)Rep. Jim Himes mentioned a possibility that top FBI officials are deliberately allowing these removals because they ultimately will not affect ongoing Mueller investigation but provide some satisfaction to Trump in getting revenge and tarnishing their reps and letting off steam. My impression is that FBI officials are placating Trump buying time so he will not do anything more drastic that could actually interfere with Mueller investigation in the same way that Rosenstein has been providing the Repubs on the Intelligence Committee quite a lot of info, but not anything that would interfere with Mueller probe.

(51,591 posts)When I heard Himes say that it did make sense to me. I can see them doing it for that very reason.
