"President Trump on Monday acknowledged that U.S. farmers could take a hit from trade disputes with China but said they will ultimately "understand" why the confrontation is necessary.
But if we do a deal with China, if, during the course of a negotiation they want to hit the farmers because they think that hits me, I wouldnt say that's nice. But I tell you, our farmers are great patriots, Trump said.
These are great patriots. They understand that they're doing this for the country," Trump said. "And we'll make it up to them. And in the end, they're going to be much stronger than they are right now."

These farmers are just one of many who thought it was going to be others such as liberals, Mexicans, LGBT, illegal immigrants, environmentalists and others who were going to be the ones going over the top.

Family Farmers are not stupid people, regardless of party. But boy is their stupidity on display here if they indeed voted for Trump .When the Holidays hit, it gets cold, and there is not much money in reserve , they are going to turn on him if they haven't already.

(6,699 posts)Many of these are "corperate farms"....thousands of acres, huge machinery and valued at tens and hundreds of millions in assets. These aren't your little family farmers....and I have zero sympathy for them. They supported his piece of shit, and they just didn't expect the shit to fall on THEIR heads. OK if it falls on everyone else..but not them. Typical repuKKKe mentality.

(19,201 posts)after all, their 'grate' president president called them, "great patriots', and that worn out, phony-baloney cliche will be enough to sustain them through their bankruptcies, asset auctions, and new jobs at McDonald's. Maybe Trump can have some chintzy medals manufactured (in China) that these "great patriots" can wear as they work the Drive-Thru windows.
