How am I supposed to feel about Jeff Sessions?

I know Attorney General Sessions is an asshole. Immigration, civil rights, voting rights proves he's a racist and a bigot. But if he resigns, that puts the Mueller probe in jeopardy. Trump could replace him with another confirmed cabinet member who could supersede Rosenstein and upend the Mueller investigation.

So, I am rooting for an asshole to run interference so that men of integrity can still do their jobs and rid us of an even bigger asshole (and his associates).

I've followed politics all of my life (I'm 65 years old) and I've never seen anything like this.

(though we might ALL like to be ideological "purists" )

We will be demolished if pragmatism does not rule the day--for NOW.

He has something on Trump or he would definitely have been fired long ago.

5. I think Sessions has convinced President Teevee that they'd both go to jail if he were fired.

I'm pretty sure you've rooted for useful assholes before, until they were no longer useful.

As for Sessions, I just hope America is able to answer this blasphemy against justice with the wheels of justice.

7. "I've never seen anything like this." That's because there never has been.

I LOATH and despise Jeff Sessions but like you, I'm rooting for him to hang in there and take the vicious humiliation he's getting on a daily basis. You know it's going to get worse. BLOTUS hates his guts and blames him for the investigation.

I don't know the motivation for Sessions to stay on unless he's so excited to get his racist, hateful discriminatory agenda in place, it's worth it to him.

They were talking about this on 'Morning Joe' this morning and like you and I, they agreed that if Sessions is gone, he will be replaced with some ass-kissing lackey who will get rid of Rosenstein and Mueller. We CAN'T let that happen.
Because if it does, I fear it's OVER for this country.

8. We have to admit that Sessions is probably saving our country at this moment...

Trump has said all he could say to make Session resign and if he did, then all hell would break lose.

My hypothesis and really the only one that makes sense. Trump has NEVER been reigned in. I believe that Mitch McConnell (and Paul Ryan) have a line in the sand. The line is: TRUMP CAN NOT FIRE JEFF SESSIONS or rid Mueller investigations (and possibly fire rubenstein as well) IF TRUMP crosses that line, then the ONLY response will be impeachment and removal from office.

Otherwise, this does not make sense that trump has NOT fired Sessions yet.

In effect, Sessions is saving our democracy
