Exclusive: Charges against Omarosa filed by Trump campaign, 'millions' sought

President Trump’s campaign organization Tuesday filed charges against friend-turned-enemy Omarosa Manigault Newman, claiming that she broke a 2016 nondisclosure contract by disparaging the president in her new book and revealing private talks from the ultra-secret White House Situation Room.

In New York, Trump campaign lawyers filed for an arbitration to force the former “Apprentice” star to abide by the agreement they say she signed when joining the 2016 campaign.

According to a sample of the agreement provided to Secrets, she was required to keep proprietary information about the president, his companies or his family confidential and to never “disparage” the Trump family “during the term of your service and at all times thereafter.”

These charges are hollow screams. They mean nothing except for the publicity.

If these NDAs are not worth the paper they're printed on, the trial could be fun (discovery).

P.S I don't like her. Never watched the show either.

Courts are reluctant to enforce NDA's where someone is asking for "millions" for such a violation unless it involves "trade secrets" or the like. If you had to sign an NDA to get the Colonels secret recipe, that's one thing. Having someone sign an NDA that says "you can never talk about a conversation we had or you owe me millions" is not going to be entertained by a court if you go seeking your millions.

Trump campaign can’t ‘file charges’. They can wave their arms in the air and Twitter as loudly as they may care to, but (so far) they can’t file charges.
