What really irritates me is when it's BREAKING: here's an implication of an already-reported piece you probably haven't thought of

bad? Because Breaking Bad is one of my favorite series of all time!

There are a lot of click-bait subject lines around here, and it makes me not want to bother checking in with DU. Things like "Wow!" and "This." and lines that turn out to be punchlines from cartoons or tweets. They obscure real news and thoughtful conversation.

I often just put a poster on Ignore if I notice that they are using the all caps or click-bait tricks like the BREAKING or You Have to See This.
With thousands on posts every hour on DU, please give everyone some idea of what the post is by being accurate (and non-hysterical) in the title. Please?

I was just amused at the idea that a post about BREAKING belonged in Latest Breaking News.

Dang, I hate having to explain a joke.

It’s just that there were no later posts than my locking post and I wondered if people thought the thread was really locked!

Think about using the ignore feature... it works wonders (plus, someone probably already posted the info before said poster).
