QUESTION: If Manaforts sentence is commuted will he be immune to state prosecution?

QUESTION: If Manaforts sentence is commuted will he be immune to state prosecution?

It would make sense for Manafort to act so stupidly if he and his lawyers are expecting a commutation of sentence.

If so can the state go after him for what ever the feds didn't cover?

Thx in advance for any input

They would not necessarily be identical charges because states write their own laws that may or may not parallel federal charges. However, there are probably some very similar state banking or other financial fraud laws that might apply.
