This is the terrifying moment a man grabs a little girl out walking with her mum and refuses to let go.

He lunged towards the seven-year-old and yanked her backpack so hard she was lifted off her feet.


The youngster's panicking mother held on to her daughter's arms in a desperate bid to save her child.

CCTV images from the Neihu district in Taiwanese capital Taipei shows the mum, named in local reports as
Mrs Wu, walking the child home from school when the man strikes.

The suspect, 33-year-old Chou, who worked as a lifeguard at a local swimming pool, later claimed it was a case of 'mistaken identity'.
