Ok,not proud, but admitting I have see some episodes of the Apprentice.
If a person did something wrong or something stupid,Mr,Trump sitting at the head of the board room table was always very professional and even kind.
No name calling, no insults, no bullying. He acted like a well controlled professional.
The station and the sponsors would not accept anything else.
Now he sits in the highest office in the land. No one tells him what to do.
Every black woman can be called low IQ. Countries can be called s....holes.
Omorosa is a dog.
No one has a check on his nasty mouth now. He doesn't have to play a role. He is not held to any professional standard.
Every member of congress who swore an oath to country has given up and the show goes on uninterrupted.

Donald didn't even pick the winner and losers.

(16,104 posts)A piece of sheetrock or plaster fell in one of his buildings, clocked her on the head, and you could see the Dotard looking very skeptical about her claim of injury - and you could see he had a level of animosity towards HER making the claim.
Omarosa was "fired" shortly after - but viewers were picking up on "this thing" with him even then.
I stopped watching after Season 1 - but I did think Bill Rancic was going to be a good Apprentice, and he sure had staying power as a new celebrity! His wife is still selling clothes on shopping networks!

(52,227 posts)i will allow that he didn't call people "dogs" or generally use many of the other personal insults he now routinely uses on twitter.
however, he did encourage the worst backstabbing and cutthroat environment, and he did treat people as incompetent or "disasters" if their team ended up one dollar shorter than the other team.
there was no room in his brain for good ideas that just didn't happen to work out. if the other team won with a terrible idea that didn't sell, but at the last minute, they called a rich friend to buy up enough to make them win, then they were geniuses and the losing team (with the better product) were idiots and fools.
one could argue that this wasn't donnie's real management style, it was only for the sake of a tv program meant to show boardroom drama, but it turns out it *is* his management style. or actually, his real management style is *even worse*.
it always struck me, watching that show, why on earth would anyone want to work for such a disaster. he embodied every bad trait of every bad manager.
Power 2 the People
(2,437 posts)It was only tolerable because Trump was onscreen for the last 10 mins of the show. I used to laugh when he had his children in the boardroom giving advice and critique to people who had actually EARNED their place in life.

(30,540 posts)I didn't like Trump, I watched it inspite of him not because of him. I enjoyed the show, the interaction between the contestants was interesting. I like the non-celebrities versions best and earlier episodes where he had the older fellow George as an advisor instead of the later ones with his kids.

He could control himself now if congress did their job of checking him.
