(15,100 posts)I don't want to see KKKobach anywhere NEAR the Governor's office, but on the other hand, wouldn't it be sweet for him to be defeated by a Dem??? In Kansas?
Such a quandary.

(15,382 posts)I don't want to give him any opportunity to be elected.
If anything, think how sweet it will be if he's defeated because the more affluent and republican county in Kansas (Johnson) pulled an anti-Kobach in trying to get as many votes as possible counted.

(15,100 posts)And you are correct. Kobach needs to be defeated in the primary. But he and his minions are counting the votes. It could be tricky. Good luck Kansas!

(4,139 posts)If I recall correctly, Gore did not request a recount of all the ballots in the state of Florida just certain districts where there were the biggest problems with "spoiled" or ambiguous ballots. This was probably done to save time, but was a tactical error as it allowed SCOTUS to rule that it would result in unequal treatment of Florida voters. I don't see how what Kobach is doing treats all Kansas voters equally, but remember SCOTUS also said it's ruling could not be used as a precedent, which was almost unprecedented.
