BREAKING: Chairman Grassley has unilaterally ruled 1/3 of the #Kavanaugh records to be Committee Confidential meaning anyone not on Judiciary Committee cannot see them. Thats 79 Senators & the entire American public. Its an unprecedented level of secrecy. #WhatAreTheyHiding?

(6,831 posts)Figure out which Senate rule allows a loop hole and charge right through it. Grassley has played the pitbull for too long. He may have the authority to do this, but he doesn't have the right. The American people have rights too and we deserve to know what's in Kavanaugh's record that Grassley would find it necessary to put it out of reach. It's time some one stood up to Chuck the Puck.
We're stuck with Gorsuch (Anyone remember his mother, Ann ?), which is appalling after what they did to Merrick Garland.
I say fight it. Find anything to obstruct but do not allow another judge to be seated by trmp. Stall if necessary.
The man is 85 years old and has been in Congress for 37 years. Iowa, you deserve better. When is Grassley up for re-election ?
