(30,481 posts)If there is an issue over judge conduct wouldn't the charges either being overthrown by appeal, and tried again, or a new trial called by way of appeal if there charges aren't upheld? Wouldn't that be done by a different judge after this case is finished.
I don't see either side filing for a mistrial.
Wouldn't there still be a verdict in this case?

(6,324 posts)Its with the jury now. Absent someone tampering with the jury to make an impartial verdict impossible or a sudden revelation of severe prosecutorial misconduct I dont see any way a mistrial comes now.

(6,324 posts)They are being asked to deliver verdicts on 18 different charges, each one with a fairly complex evidence trail.
I expect guilty on some, not guilty on others. How the split breaks down I didnt watch close enough to make an educated guess.
