I know that guilty verdicts usually come back from deliberations fairly fast... what is considered fast? 2 hours? 5 hours? Just curious.

(146,308 posts)I wouldn't expect a quick verdict. Deliberations must be done on each charge, specifically. It's not an easy case for the jury at all.
They're not going to rush to judgment, and unanimity may be difficult to come by on all charges.

They reckon guilty on most if not all of the charges but a fair amount of deliberation time to actually look at all of them.

(6,324 posts)For each charge they have to go over what the charge is, what the legal standard and elements are of that crime, the evidence, take a vote, then if they dont agree deliberate, vote again, etc.
Back in under 20 hours would mean the prosecution did an amazing job.

(45,806 posts)Some accusation were SHOWN to be GUILTY on their face and won't require much deliberation, but some will require quite a bit. You also have to take into consideration the fact that "Jurors" as a rule don't like to go over weekends, so I'm thinking they'll do a;; th hey can to wrap it up by the end of Friday.

Just my gut feeling. It's possible he might skate on some charges, but I'm betting he'll be convicted of others.
